It just keeps getting worse and worse. Giants outside linebacker Brian Burns appears to have suffered a serious injury in the wake of the New York Giants’ 12-7 win yesterday over the Tennessee Titans. The Giants faithful were anxiously awaiting news from Burns’s MRI this morning, and it appears as though the worst case scenario has become a reality.
Burns was battling an ankle injury heading into the game but was playing well on a limited snap count before going down. The former Carolina Panther will now miss his most games in a season ever in his career thus far (although to be fair if he was only going to be out for two weeks the same would be true) as questions continue to rise over the controversial and infamous MetLife Stadium turf.

Burns was one of the lone defensive bright spots for New York in 2025, setting a career high in sacks while becoming the only member of Big Blue to make it onto the NFL’s Top 100 Players list for 2026.
The Giants have now lost their best players on offense and defense in just six days a mere three weeks into what started as a promising season.
