Giants Trounced by Pats on MNF; Fall to 2-11

Ladies and Gentleman, we’ve officially reached rock bottom.

The New England Patriots defeated the New York Giants last night in convincing fashion, handing them a 33-15 walloping that never even felt that close.

This one felt over by the end of the first quarter. After an opening defensive possession, the first for interim coordinator Charlie Bullen, in which they allowed a field goal, the wheels completely fell off for Big Blue. After a quick five-play drive that led to a punt, Patriots returner Marcus Jones immediately ran it back 94 yards for a touchdown and a 10-0 lead. After another short, ineffective drive that included Giants quarterback Jaxson Dart once again refusing to play it safe for no reason whatsoever in his first game back from a concussion; as he was blasted near the out of bounds line by Patriots linebacker Christian Elliss.

New England then immediately scored again after a deep completion to tight end Hunter Henry which led to a 3-yard passing score from quarterback Drake Maye to receiver Kayshon Boutte. New York were never able to recover from that point on.

The General Consensus

We’re gonna start the consensus a little early this morning because there’s a lot to get into. This organization is an absolute embarrassment. We didn’t even mention Younghoe Koo’s utter debauchery of a field goal attempt where he stuttered and kicked his toes into the dirt. If he had made the field goal this could’ve been a closer game at the half.

Jaxson Dart needs to grow up. His baffling lack of understanding of what his health means to the future of this franchise shows a disturbing lack of maturity.

“We’re not playing soccer out here,” Dart stated in his post game presser. “You’re going to get hit, things happen. It’s just part of the game.”

That being said, Christian Elliss should’ve been ejected from this game and suspended indefinitely. This degenerate LB not only landed that unnecessary hit on Dart, but then preceded to nearly decapitate Gunner Olszewski on a kickoff return that was full speed helmet to helmet contact and wasn’t labeled a penalty because Olszlewski was ‘a runner,’ which just sounds like something the NFL and this officiating crew just made up on the fly. Then again, the officiating in this game, as has been the case all season, was truly awful and clearly one-sided in favor of New England.

This team has limitless potential to be a playoff contender next season, but it won’t happen without some major changes to the coaching staff, front office, and player attitudes overall.
